Why Is This Important?
Asthma affects people of all races, sexes, and ages, living in every region of the U.S. Over the last 10 years, there has been a gradual increase in asthma prevalence among children. With increasing asthma rates in Connecticut, it is imperative to ensure high quality care, address environmental factors that worsen asthma symptoms, help people with asthma to learn self-management skills and, ensure that Connecticut residents with asthma have continuity of care within their communities.
