What We Do
Deliver dental disease prevention services within local community long term care facilities. These services include: oral screenings, dental education, fluoride varnish application, dental cleanings, and dental home referrals.
How We Impact
Prevent dental disease in the elderly population homed in long-term care facilities. Screenings provide information for proper dental home referrals. Aspiration pneumonia is the #1 pneumonia causing death in long-term care facilities. Reducing the amount of oral bacteria on a regular basis can reduce death from aspiration pneumonia.
