Story Behind the Curve

This indicator measures the amount of electricity generated from solar, wind, hydro- electric, methane digesters, and woody biomass sited inthe Northwest Region.  

The Vermont Community Energy Dashboard reports the number of renewable energy and efficieny sites in each county and the total energy capacity form those sites. 

Why Is This Important?

Increasing the Region's production of renewable energy will improve the cost effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability of energy production, transmission, and distribution system and support the State’s goal of 90% renewable energy by 2050.
