What Does This Community Health Indicator Mean?

The annual Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) County Health Rankings measure a variety of vital health factors, including smoking, in nearly every county in America. Adult Smoking is the percentage of the adult population that currently smokes every day or most days and has smoked at least 100 cigarettes in their lifetime. Together we can! Healthy Living in Butte County is tracking the adult smoking rate in the Butte County population. By implementing smoke free policies and increasing access to smoking cessation and prevention education, we hope to see this rate decline over time.
