Story Behind the Curve
Objective 1.3.1 Update
(December 2015) – BCPHD has determined
that holding four table-top and/or functional exercises to include all BCPHD
divisions is not feasible. Reducing this number from four to two is more
realistic and will still improve the department’s capability to respond to
public health challenges and threats. Additionally, Aimee Critser has been
added to a lead role for this objective. Aimee will be working in the Emergency
Response program beginning in January 2016. Objective
has been revised to: “Improve department’s response to public health challenges
and threats by increasing the number of annual table-top and/or functional
exercises from two per year to at least four per year. At a minimum, two
exercises must include all BCPHD Divisions, beginning in July 2015”.
