NB - 2012 and 2013 provisional numbers

Statewide, from 2005 to 2013, the birthrate decline 15%. During that same period of time, Wethersfield's birthrate increased 1.63%. In 2006, 249 children were born in Wethersfield. By 2013, 249 children had been born to Wethersfield families, with notable spikes in 2007 and 2012. While the this represents a small number of children, it is worth watching this trend. If we continue to maintain a steady birthrate despite the declining birthrate statewide, it will impact our schools and community services in the years to come.
