Story Behind the Curve

It is against the law to smoke or vape inside public buildings or within 25 feet of any entranceway, exit, open window, or air intake of a building where smoking is prohibited. It is possible for the public to make a complaint when this law is violated. The Bear River Health Department fields these complaints and works with building owners to enforce the law. The indoor clean air act ensures that everyone has the right to breathe clean air, and helps protects those with breathing sensitivities for air pollutants.
