Story Behind the Curve
The Prime for Life curriculum used for minor in possession and driving while impaired classes has a posttest to assess the knowledge gained by participants. Participants are required to get a 70% or higher to complete the class. These test scores also help the health department evaluate how instructors are doing at delivering the content of the program.

Partners for this program include, Juvenile Justice, Utah State University, Judges, and the Utah State Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health.
What Works
Instructors are trained from the Prevention Research Insititue to teach the Evidence-based PRI courses.
Action Plan
Providing DUI and MIP courses once a month to those who have recieved a Driving Under the Influence or Minor In Possession ticket. People interested in this course who have not recieved a ticket, are welcome to participate in the courses. Prime For Life classes include videos from people sharing their experiences, activities in a work book, as well as lecture sessions.
