Story Behind the Curve
When the Arkansas Trauma Communications Center (ATCC) is used to transfer patients from one trauma center to another, the patient is able to get to definitive care in a much shorter period of time. This means that the patient is able to get the appropriate treatment faster which improves patient outcomes. This metric tells us the percentage of transfers that were not facilitated by the ATCC.
