Medicine take-back and/or safe medication disposal sites are available for consumers and caregivers to get rid of unwanted and unexpired medication. By removing the expired and unused pharmaceuticals from the home, you will reduce the risk of the medication being accidentally or intentionally misused by individuals in the home and reduce any environmental risks of disposing of the medication improperly. Drop off sites are located throughout Macomb County and include local entities such as the Macomb County Health Department, law enforcement agencies, and pharmacies.

Drug drop off locations will be included in the Behavioral Health Services Resources Map that is currently under development. This will be shared and made available to the public once it is available.
