Story Behind the Curve

The percentage of successful discharges is below 15% given the challenges of serving a somewhat transient population. Eyerly Ball struggles with the number of no-shows. Eyerly Ball's protocol is to provide a reminder call 72-hours prior to a scheduled appointment and to have clients sign a cancellation agreement. The latter states that if a client misses an appointment, they will receive a call from a therapist. If a client has 2 no-shows, they are moved to same-day scheduling appointments only. Once they have attended a scheduled appointment, then they may return to advance scheduling. If a client does not return for any services, the client is still kept in Eyerly Ball's files for 3 months.
