Q3 2020

The number of callers identifying as having a CALD background has increased and is attributed to an intensified engagement with the caller as to how they identify and the subsequent record keeping of the collected data.  

Q2 2020

Over this quarter approximately 3% to 4% of callers to the Infoline identified as having a CALD background.  For the financial year 2019-20 an average of 8% of callers identified as having a CALD background

Q1 2020

Over this quarter approximately 9% to 11% of callers to the Infoline identified as having a CALD background.  

Q4 2019

Over this quarter approximately 6% to 7% of callers to the Infoline identified as having a CALD background.  

Q3 2019

Over this quarter approximately 10% to 12% of callers to the Infoline identified as having a CALD background.  

Q2 2019

Over this quarter approximately 6% to 9% of callers to the Infoline identified as having a CALD background.  

Q1 2019

Over this quarter the from people with a CALD background range from 5% in March to 9% in January, 2019.   

Q4 2018

Over this quarter calls from people with a CALD background ranged from 10% in December to 13% in October.  The callers over this period came from a variety of CALD backgrounds, including Chinese, Pakistani, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Indian, pacific islanders, Polish and Spanish.  

Q3 2018

Over this quarter calls of a CALD background ranged from 11% (July and August) to 12% (September).  Over 50% of the callers from CALD background were Chinese.  Other populations that featured prominantly are Maori, Fijian and Arabic. 

Q2 2018

Over this quarter calls of a CALD background were constant at approximately 9% of callers, which is close to the monthly target of 10%.  Over the period July 2017 through to June 2018 approximately 37% of callers who identified a culturally and linguistically diverse were Chinese, 12.5% were Tongan, 12.5% Filipino, and 12.5% Vietnamese.  The remaining callers were of African origin, Greek, Arabic, Bengala, Finnish, Mongolian and Afghan.  

Q1 2018

Over this quarter callers of a CALD background ranged from 6% (February) to 21% (January), an average of approximately 14%, which is consistent with previous quarters.  In January, the callers spoke the following languages - Cantonese, Filipino, Spanish, Afghan (Dari), Arabic, Bengali, Mandarin and Vietnamese.  

Q4 2017

Callers of CALD background hovered at an average of 10% over the previous 6 months, however there is a diversity of languages spoken at home, which indicates across diverse communities. Chinese background callers make up a significant proportion of these callers. 

Q1 2017

Callers to Infoline include approximately 8% who are from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, who speak languages other than English at home.
