New and existing clients remained enroled in the HepConnect program from three LHDs

Clients from three LHDs have remain actively engaged in the HepConnect program

Q1 2020:

We are planning on widening the use of SMS reminders and peer support calls across all 15 NSW LHDs, in the current C-19 pandemic, by emailing NSWLHD hepatology nurses that they can use the Hep Connect program to include additional support around health and hygene messages as well as influenza vaccination reminders to existing and future DAA patients

Q4 2019:

The Hep Connect program delivered SMS reminders for DAA treatment support to 2 clients from the Sydney LHD through Clinic 36 at Chippendale. Two clients from the South Western Sydney LHD's Storr Liver Clinic at Westmead Hospital. Three clients have been referred from Western NSW's Kite Street Clinic at Orange and one client from the liver clinic, Port Macquarie in the Mid North Coast's LHD.

Q3 2019:

Out of the 15 LHDs in NSW we have engaged already 2 clients from the Sydney LHD through Clinic 36 at Chippendale and one client from the South Western Sydney LHD's Storr Liver Clinic at Westmead Hospital.

Q2 2019:

The Hep Connect Program was undergoing a restructure with the fully operational launch of the new program predicated for the end of August 2019.

Q1 2019:

All clients supported by regular peer calls started DAA treatment.

Q4 2018:

Treatment was initiated by all clients engaged in the Hep Connect program.

Q3 2018:

All clients engaging in the Hep Connect program started treatment an remain in constant pre-arranged contact with their peer worker supporting them through their treatment journey.

Q2 2018:

HCV treatment was initiated by all clients as a result of engaging with the peer support program.

Q1 2018:

All clients supported by their peers through their treatment journey in this quarter report they engaged in the hep C cure. 

Q4 2017:

All clients engaged in the Hep Connect program in the final quarter of 2017 started hep C treatment.

Q3 2017:

In the 3rd quarter of this year all clients engaged in the Hep Connect program initiated treatment with regular support from their peer worker.

Q2 2017:

 

Throughout 2016-17 all clients engaged in the Hep Connect program reported the support from their peer worker was instrumental to them initiating treatment.

Q1 2017:

In the first quarter of 2017 all clients contacting HNSW asking for lived experience support during the decision making stage to initiate treatment and it is evident that the peer support was instrumental to the client's treatment adherence and completion.

Q4 2016:

Reports from the final quarter of 2016 demonstrates that all client engaged in the Hep Connect program started on and adhered to the new HCV treatment through support from their peer workers.
