In program year 2023, the 5 local weatherization providers no longer weatherized multi-family projects (5 or more units) and thus increased the number of single family homes that were weatherized. The cost to weatherize a single-family unit is much higher than that to weatherize a multi-family unit; thus the average cost to weatherize each household increased.
