The Public Health Practitioner Survey was facilitated to collect data on seven performance measures for the SHIP. It was facilitated January-February 2015 to three major public health stakeholder groups in Nebraska: the state health department (DHHS Division of Public Health), local health departments, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center-College of Public Health. A total of 467 respondents across these groups participated, of 1,164 invited to participate.

This performance measure reflects data from responses of Very Often or Always to this survey question: "When implementing strategies how often does your program area choose strategies that are strictly evidence-based?" (Among those whose program area implements any strategies that address public health issues or problems within the state of Nebraska.)
