Story Behind the Curve
This measure is important because it tracks deliverable completion for the Quality Committee. This committee is charged with maintaining an ongoing quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) program for the services DVHA furnishes to Global Commitment to Health waiver beneficiaries. As part of the QAPI program, the Director of Quality Management creates an annual Quality Work Plan for the committee to follow. Examples of work plan tasks include:
- Review and maintain the Quality Management Plan.
- Review the Global Commitment Core performance measure set results annually.
- Review programmatic QAPI scorecards annually.
- Assist in implementing any necessary quality improvement actions that result from EQRO audits as relevant to their departments/divisions/units.
- Coordinate, track and provide guidance on any improvement projects that are generated from the work of this Committee.
- Analyze the experience of care CAHPS results and identify areas of improvement.
- Review the annual confidentiality report from the AHS.
- Review grievance and appeal data for trends and potential areas of improvement.
The trendline above reflects one (1) incomplete deliverable during Q3 SFY22. Staff decided to postpone revisions to the Quality Management Plan due to cross-over work within the Department that impacted multiple sections of the Plan. Revisions will be completed during SFY23.
