Positivity Rate - EHCSF

Positivity rate

3.4%Q2 2020

Line Bar
Why Is This Important?

The positivity rate let's us know how well we're doing in testing those who are highly impacted by HCV. For example, a low positivity rate might let us know we're not reaching and testing the right people, therefore we should shift our stratgies, location of services, etc.

Story Behind the Curve
  Positive Negative
  • The performance measure (PM) also includes data from Jail Health Services (JHS) and Latino Wellness Center.
  • JHS is missing data for 2019 Q3 and Q4 - which is why this PM has no data for those two quarters.
    • As a point of reference, JHS made up 10-20% of all antibody tests in the first two quarters
  • 2020 Q1 and Q2 data is preliminary - data is still being submitted and recorded, which helps explain the low/small positivity rate
  • San Francisco implemented a Stay at Home order on March 16th 2020 (end of Q1), limiting the hours and operations of many CBOs, thus severely reducing the # of tests that could be done.
