Story Behind the Curve
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, some of our healthy food access/nutrition programs had to close doors. Among them was Heartland Senior Services Congregate Meals program. Other programs scrambled to serve these seniors (for example, Meals on Wheels saw an increase in individuals served). The increase reported from FY18/19 to FY19/20 is therefore especially remarkable.

The FY18-19 baseline does not include data from HSS Meals-on-Wheels Under 60 program as this was new for FY19-20.
