Story Behind the Curve
To reach UWSC's bold goal, an additional 5-6 individuals need to report an improvement in their financial situation annually through 2025.
The FY20-21 data point represents an increase of 66 individuals or 63% over the baseline year. The individuals surveyed included those helped through a range of funded programs, from the Red Cross’ disaster services to Legal Aid’s civil assistance to financial literacy supports provided by Able Up Iowa and our own Women United program. Again, this is a qualitative data point collected from partner agency surveys.

The baseline data reported here is an aggregate of data reported annually by the following UWSC-funded programs: ACCESS Emergency Crime, American Red Cross, The Bridge Home's Transitional Living Program, Legal Aid, The Salvation Army's Bill Payer Program, YSS Transitional Living Program, and YSS FaDSS.
The data reported in FY19-20 no longer includes data from ACCESS Emergency Crime as that program has changed its reporting effective this fiscal year. The aggregate data also now includes Able Up Iowa and Women United.
Effective FY20-21, The Salvation Army's Bill Payer Program has ended. While that program no longer reports data reflected here, The Salvation Army's Representative Payee Program data has been included.
