Story Behind the Curve
To reach our target, an additional 3,359 people must be served or an additional 672 people annually.
Due to the challenges coronavirus provided to service delivery, there was a decline in numbers served from FY18-19 to FY19-20. Some programs found creative ways to serve clients, including through Zoom workshops, and actually saw an increase in individuals provided with mental health awareness programming. However, in the aggregate, there was a decline in FY19-20. We were therefore delighted to see the strong numbers for FY20-21, representing a 39% increase over baseline. This dramatic increase was attributable to ongoing creativity in delivery formats, as well as to a new, wide-spread Human Trafficking Awareness program launched at YSS that reached 4,039 youth.

* YSS PEA (Combined Other) is reporting data from a broader spectrum of programs as of FY20-21, resulting in an apparent increase in numbers served.
** YSS PEA (Child Safety) was not included in FY18-20 data. Given data reporting changes, this program's data is now included (effective FY20-21).
