Story Behind the Curve
From 2008 to 2021, the proposed number of HIV positives who will be participating in an EBI for HIV positives was 929 people per year. There has been a steady decline of the number of HIV positive people enrolled in an EBI due to funding cuts from CDC, less emphasis on EBIs from CDC, and fewer agencies funded for these interventions. In 2019, CDC eleminated data collection for EBIs from EvaluationWeb.
