FY22: Youth obtain employment but struggle with financial stability due to inability to budget properly.

Permanent employment has been defined as “full-time” employment (MD recognizes 30 weekly hours or more) maintained for six months at a single employer (transfers and other internal development is considered “maintained employment”). Forms of temporary employment through temporary employers does not qualify for this measure. There are many youth who are committed to their employment goal; however, this age group is job-hoping frequently when the job no longer meets their needs. Additionally, many youth have expressed not wanting to work full-time and only wanted to obtain part-time employment. The Tru Ops program is designed to help youth navigate their options and is a client-driven service; therefore, full-time employment has not been the focus of this program. |
