Data Discussion
FY20
2 youth referred for placement were found to need OOS placement. 1 of these cases the parent refused OOS placement, the LCT provided a extensive POC with community based resources and receives monthly updates. The other cases was in detention waiting a OOS placement and placed in the 4th qtr.
OOS placements are recommended because youth have been turned down at all in-State facilities because of sexual misconduct, fire setting or extreme behaviors. The need for more in-state facilities to provide care for these types of referrals is continuously growing.
FY21
1 youth was referred for out of state placement because refusal was received for all in state placements. Youth's needs have become so intense there are no community based services available.
