CHALLENGES AND STRATEGIES:

Challenges/ Strategies to overcome these challenges

  1. Even though an incentive was offered to attend each workshop, participants were able to choose which classes they wanted to attend. Participating in every component of the program was not a requirement of the program. Healthy Heights e offered a variety of workshops, up to 31 different options from which to choose!
  2. Also, some credence has to be given to children, youth and families growing tired of virtual classes. The Garden workshop facilitator offered opportunities for families to meet her in the garden for a few classes; unfortunately, we continue to be challenged to inspire City residents to work in the soil.

What Works

Data Discussion

Out of the total 93 participant served in the Healthy Heights, 42 enrolled families participated in the Community Garden. As a result, the total 45% of the 42/93 participation measure is inaccurate, as it should be 100% of the sum of 42/42.
