CHALLENGES AND STRATEGIES:
Challenges
- The number of families that completed the Community Gardening program was reduced due to concerns about the CoVID pandemic. Gardening is inherently an in-person activity and families were more reluctant to participate or send children to participate at the same rate as pre-CoVID gardening.
Strategies to overcome these challenges:
- As the CoVID-19 pandemic begins to subside, additional students and parents will be able to participate in the Community Gardening program

Data Discussion
In FY21 out of the total 252 participants served in the Pathways to Healthy Lifestyle, 48 parents in which enrolled and participated in the ESOL classes, are not required to attend or participate in the Community Garden. As a result, the total 48% of the 121/252 completion measure is inaccurate, as it should be 59% of the sum of 121/204.
