Story Behind the Curve

Prevention science suggests that community-based prevention is the most effective way to provide prevention in the community. That community-based prevention happens through local coalitions that assess needs and implement strategies to reduce risk factors and increase protective factors. The BRHD supports 3 coalitions and is working on developing more coalitions to increase the effectiveness of prevention services provided within the Health District. 


Coalition partners include: School districts (Cache, Logan, Box Elder), PTA, USU, police departments (Logan, Cache, Tremonton, Brigham City, Box Elder), CAPSA, Logan Family Center, The Family Place, Intermountain Healthcare, Spence's Pharmacy, Cache County Attorney's office.
