Story Behind the Curve

As the program first started in Kent County, 11 out of 13  (85%) families measured as working towards self-sufficiency.  In 2017, 14 of 24 families measured as such (58%). In FY18 26 out of 39 families worked towards self sufficiency (66%). As enrollment stabilizes we expect the trend line to reflect a better picture of the program's impact on these families progress.

What Works

Healthy Families Home Visitor's complete various trainings to better assist families to work towards self-sifficency. They have completed Goal Planning, Foundation for Family Support refresher, Cultural Competency, and Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral Treatment.

Healthy Families visitor's have utlized the various trainings to increase the number of families who are working towards self-sufficiency.
