Influenza is highly contagious, making locations where large numbers of people are present a possible site for rapid transmission of disease to large numbers of people.  Because we are a high population site and because patients with influenza are likely to be seeking care in our facilities, Dartmouth-Hitchcock works hard to provide flu vaccinations for those coming to our campus.  Specifically, we require staff to receive annual flu vaccinations, to ensure that our care teams remain healthy and do not contribute to the spread of influenza.  This measure documents our rate of immunization of staff each year.
