Story Behind the Curve

2012-13 school year: Data was recorded annually for this school year. The total number of intakes was 281.

2013-14 school year: Data was recorded for the school year per trimester. The total number of intakes was 188.

2014-2015 school year: Data was recorded for the school year per trimester. The total number of intakes was 323.

2015-2016:

Trimester 1: In total there were 23 formal referrals into the program. There were 48 carry over student's who needed continued monitoring and services from the previous school year.

Trimester 2: In total there were 24 formal referrals to the program. There were 47 students who continued in the program after Trimester 1 ended.

Partners

Previous to the 2015-2016 school year: This data included referrals to EDMAP from all educational levels from Kindergarden to 12th grade from the Rush City School District, North Branch School District and Chisago Lakes School District.

In the 2015-2016 school year a focus was put in place for the EDMAP Program of monitoring and earlier intervention of students between sixth and ninth grades. A student outside of these perimeters can be included in the program with a referral completion by the student's school staff.

What Works

Action Plan

In the 2015-2016 school year the EDMAP service population will be decreased to focus on children older that 12 years of age and in/or lower than 9th grade. Although, if services or monitoring are needed for students above 9th grade a referral shall be submitted by the school staff.

Children and Families in the EDMAP Service districts and Chisago County will have access to EDMAP services however those in elementary education and/or under 12 years of age shall be referred to report Educational Neglect to Chisago County Health and Human Services; where as those children above 9th grade shall be referred to the Every Day Matters! Attendance Program.
