This is one area of great success for our program. Goals are identified for each adolescent through one-on-one goal setting sessions with each one when they attend the Adolescent Parenting Class. Across the board, the goal set as a priority for all is healthy development for their child. We are thrilled to note that all children of those adolescents enrolled in this program are currently meeting all six developmental benchmarks. Other common goals are for the adolescent to continue successfully working toward high school graduation, this is occurring consistently with the adolescents enrolled this year.

Support for individual goal setting could again be improved with the support of a dedicated staff member to coordinate outreach and assist in guiding the adolescents toward achieving their goals.
