Story Behind the Curve

Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Moms in Recovery Program provides collaborative OB, Pediatric, and Behavioral Health services to pregnant and parenting women who have substance use disorders.  Mom's in Recovery works to provide care that improves birth outcomes, supports strong maternal-child bonding and parenting skills, supports women entering into and to sustain recovery from substance use disorders, and fosters healthy child development.  Reminaing engaged in treatment and recovery services is a positive indicator of sustained recovery from substance use, so retention in appropriate levels of treatment six months post-partum is an important goal of the Mom's in Recovery program.
