In 2018, Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Center for Addiction Recovery in Pregnancy and Parenting (CARPP) began providing consultation to OB practices in New Hampshire to help these practices more fully implement evidence-based care, including Medication Assisted Treatment, for pregnant women who have opioid use disorders.  Medication Assisted Treatment is an evidence-based approach to caring for persons affected by opioid use disorders, and CARPP provides technical assistance, training, and resources to help these practices improve their capacity to provide this kind of care for women they serve.  CARPP plans to partner 8 OB practices over 2 years to help them implement these evidence-based care practices.

The Center for Addiction Recovery in Pregnany and Parenting is a multidisciplinary network of experienced clinicians and researchers working together to support recovery from addiction for women who are pregnant and parenting, and to promote healthy growth and development in their children.  CARPP's work informs clinical services, research, education, and advocacy in the treatment of pregnant and parenting women and their young children who are impacted by substance use disorders. We support providers who care for these families with resources and guidance for program implementation, with a particular focus on the impact of opioid use disorders.
