Data Discussion
This performance measure captures the number of NEW youth identified and actively recruited into the program. In FY20 Kent Family Center recruited 3 new youth and About Child Trauma recruited 1 - while maintaining their caseloads from FY2019.
The number of opportunity youth who remain in communication with the program are considered actively involved and form a cohort to help bring other youth into the program. In FY18 there were about 10 to 15 youth actively engaged at any one point in time. A total of 24 opportunity youth were engaged and remained engaged for at least 4 months.
In FY19 a total of 28 opportunity youth remained engaged for at least 4 months.
In FY20 20 youth are actively engaged. 10 of them work solely with the vendor About Child Trauma, 10 work solely with the Kent Family Center, and two are working with both vendors.
Measurement Tool Used
While all identified opportunity youth complete the Crisis to Thrive intake form, the active cohort are tracked by the case manager and reported out each quarter. The case manager uses a digital contact form for each interaction with the opportunity youth, whether it be face to face, a conversation over the phone, or a chat through Snap Chat or Facebook.
