ACEs to host May and June ACE’s Train the trainer sessions - The Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Training is designed to help you develop the unique skill set needed to support individuals who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and traumatic events.

Restorative Practice BFDI 2020 - The aim of restorative practices is to develop community and to manage conflict and tensions by repairing harm and building relationships. This statement identifies both proactive (building relationships and developing community) and reactive (repairing harm and restoring relationships) approaches.
LENA Start 2021 - LENA Start is an evidence-based community program designed to engage families and help them learn how to increase conversation with their children during the first few years of life. Interactive talk — specifically back-and-forth conversation — has been proven to be a key factor in healthy early brain development. Yet most families don’t know how much they’re talking to or with their children. During LENA Start, families use LENA’s patented “talk pedometer” technology to measure their child’s language environment. Over the course of 10 weekly sessions that can be delivered virtually or in person, families explore this data in the form of personalized, actionable feedback reports, discussing research-based strategies with their peers to increase the quality and quantity of talk at home.

COFI 2019 - Our mission is to strengthen the power and voice of low-income and working families at all levels of civic life—from local institutions and communities to local, state, and federal policy arenas. COFI has trained and organized thousands of parents in some of the toughest neighborhoods anywhere. These leaders, primarily mothers and grandmothers, are winning improvements in their schools and communities, creating their own organizations and programs, and changing policies on critical issues that affect families. The work is taking root around the country, attracting national attention to parent-led innovative policy solutions. COFI supports partner organizations to learn and put into action the key organizing steps of the COFI Way.
