What is this indicator?

10/2018, updating SED data: Per TTUSD: identifying students as  "socioeconomically disadvantaged"   background of poverty (identified in the schools as students on free/reduced lunch) and less access to educational opportunities (these students are identified via the education level of their parents - HS or le"ss)  This shift provides a better way to measure students that we may need to provide additional supports to in order to ensure college and career readiness"

Story Behind the Curve

The overall increase in rates of free and reduced lunch are one indicator of the changing demographics within the school district. However, the Tahoe Truckee community sees lower rates of eligibility than the state as a whole.
