Why Is This Important?
People who batter must be held accountable for their actions and must have opportunities for behavior modification and recovery. The criminal justice sector must be equipped to effectively identify and intervene to prevent domestic violence, and service providers, healthcare providers, community-based organizations, and employers can contribute to their recovery, as well, through programs, services, and policies.
