Project M.O.R. E

What We Do

Project M.O.R.E (Making Opportunities for Responsible parenting and Education) at Cabarrus Health Alliance (CHA) is a parenting program for pregnant or parenting teens (children up to 5 years old). Support is provided by home visits, group connection, resource sharing, and screenings. Project M.O.R.E works with the young parents to ensure that their child is safe, healthy, and developing on track. We also support the goals of the parents which could be to finish high school, waiting to have another baby, or another goal they have.

Who We Serve

Project M.O.R.E (Making Opportunities for Responsible parenting and Education) at Cabarrus Health Alliance (CHA) serves young parents up to age 19 that live in Cabarrus County and are full time students or actively working on getting their GED (General Education Development Test). The parent can be pregnant or have a child up to 5 years old.

How We Impact

By being an added support system for young parents, Project M.O.R.E (Making Opportunities for Responsible parenting and Education) at Cabarrus Health Alliance (CHA) we are able to be a place where young parents are able to access resources and find connection to other young parents who are going through the similar situation. Project M.O.R.E works with both Cabarrus County school systems, school nurses and other agencies so that the young parents have access to all services they may need.
