Program Summary
The program provides lunch meals (cold sack lunches at 10 sites and hot meals at 4 sites). The program coordinates and partners with other agencies to provide nutrition and healthy eating education to the children and their families.
Target Population
Children at-risk for hunger because they may not have access to healthy meals during the summer months while school is not in session. The program also targets the adult family members of these youth by providing nutrition and healthy eating guidelines education.
